Nanite, a fantasy into reality
If you are a fantasy lover, then you must have came across the word nanite and for the readers who encountering this term for the first time, nanite is not a jurgon or some special word in science and technology, but another name for nanorobots. Today medical science has achieved historical advancemnt, and it seems just a begining. Right from fixing bones to subtle organ transplant, medical science is making remarkable growth everyday. Nanorobots are one of highly advanced next genration nano robots, which could interact with nanosize particles and could manipulate them, their application in medicine has opened the gates for better understanding of our complex nature. Movies like bloodshot have already fantasized nanorobot 's wonder, yet turning such fantasy into reality might take more than a century and could be hazardous, but still nanorbots has such potential.
The size of these nanorobots (which i preferably love to call nanites) could be small as ~ 50nm, due to which they could enter into a organism body without any resistant, talking about application of nanites into medicine, drugs can be targeted into the body more precisly and with more efficacy. The drug delievery mechanism of nanites is mindbending, after entering into the body these nanorobots could be easily control by electrical signals, and directed towards the delivery location, then with another signal they could be made to release the drug with cantroled quantity. A company name Elan Pharmaceuticals has already started using these nanotechnolgy into their drugs, which could detect the damage or infection and can repair it as naturally done by our reparing cells.
